ROUTER

They provide an option to choose between a dual-band router instead of a regular router during installation. If you are not clear what a dual-band router is, a dual-band router is an upgrade to a regular (single-band) router. It has improved capabilities to provide faster and smoother connections than a standard (single-band) router. By operating in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz radio bands, customers can enjoy superior connectivity. In addition, the dual-band router helps prevent radio interference, making the 5GHz network ideal for professional applications such as video calling, video streaming, online gaming, and downloading. To use the 5 GHz Wi-Fi range, your smart device must have 5 GHz Wi-Fi capability. Unfortunately, not all the smart devices have this capability.

FAIR USER POLICY

We all know how problematic FUP (Fair User Policy) can be. The CGNET Fair Use Policy (FUP) applies only to individual customer plans. CGNET tracks usage during its monthly cycle. Data usage is calculated by adding the download and upload data used each month. There are three tiers of FUP based on monthly usage by customers. When Tier 1 is reached, the internet speed for customers is reduced to 50%, the rate is reduced to 30% at Tier 2, and the rate is reduced to 10% at Tier 3. The user data usage counter is reset on the 1st of every month, and the Internet is reset to its original speed.
